Pocket Pets is in the Fayette Mall in Lexington, KY right now and I’m furious. Friendly reminder to never do business with PP or any other millbreeder.

Maddie carries a ring with her tail.

My nightlife is consumed by a constant battle of deciding whether to stay in the living room and disturb my sugar gliders or go in the bedroom and disturb my husband.

mygliderrescues:

I don’t know how well this is going to work out but we’ll see!

mygliderrescues:

TENT TIMEEEE! :) Haha.

For anyone who was wondering, we did finally get the results back from Emma’s autopsy on Christmas Eve. She suffered some type of trauma to her chest that caused her heart to hemorrhage slowly throughout the night. She could have fallen or gotten caught on something and torn an artery trying to free herself. We’ll never know. The vet said there was nothing we could have done to prevent her death and it was an accident. She’s very missed, that’s for sure. I can’t help but wonder if she would still be here if I kept her nails filed better, but I know all I can do is take care of Maddie and Pascal the best I can.

This has got to stop!!!

people need to stop buying gliders without knowing about them.. sure I did it but I knew what they were and I was up for the challenge and I am not stupid.

ALSO people need to stop selling gliders to others who have no idea what to do with them or how to care for them. If the glider ends up in a bad place it is YOUR fault as a seller because you didn’t inform them well enough and you didn’t check the person out well enough in the first place.

I have just been confronted by a facebook friend asking me if I could talk to her friend because she just got a glider and doesnt know what to do with it.

I find out this girl has the poor baby in her purse at work!! UMM it is almost 9pm HE IS GOING TO WAKE UP.

She says she is scared of him because he is scared. I am trying my best to help her but I feel like this will be an all night event.

I AM SO ANGRY at people who do this and of course PPP.

I honestly wish that you had to have a permit to own gliders. It would make things so much easier and people who really understood what it takes to take care of these beautiful little creatures would be able to keep them.

I am trying my hardest to not say “WTF ARE YOU THINKING TAKING THAT POOR BABY TO WORK WITH YOU..YOU JUST GOT HIM” would you take a cat with you to work in your purse if you just got him from the shelter?! NO it says to take any new pet straight home and let them be for a while. just UGH

I will keep anyone who is interested updated with this situation

This pisses me off. I don’t think anyone is truly ever prepared for sugar gliders because they are such difficult animals to care for, but people shouldn’t be allowed to purchase them without at least a basic knowledge of glider care. I also wish they’d drop the “sugar” because it misleads new owners into believing they can have sweets and should be fed mostly fruit, which is not the case. I hope you get this all figured out for the baby’s sake, and if nothing else, you can take it in for a while. That is going to be such a mess for sure:/
